We've partnered up with Ecologi so that we can support the Eden Reforestation Projects that are helping to restore our forest ecosystems. Ecologi is an environmental organisation that supports the funding of carbon offset projects and tree planting around the world. Their mission is to reduce 50% of global CO2 emissions by 2040 and responsibly plant billions of trees every year.

Eden employs local workers to plant trees, reducing extreme poverty while funding planting projects across the globe. Carry on reading to find out about some of the projects you've already helped us to support.

mangrove planting in madagascar

More than 80% of Madagascar's original forests have been destroyed and entire mangrove estuaries are gone, leaving the bare earth to wash away into the sea. Mangroves are trees that grow along the coast. They store lots of carbon in their underground root systems, collecting up to four times as much carbon per acre than tropical rainforests, making them an ideal species for fighting against climate change.

Mozambique's forests have been destroyed after intensive tree-cutting for firewood and charcoal. With 68% of Mozambique's population living in rural areas, people rely heavily on natural resources and forests for survival. The project we're supporting in Changalane will help in funding 15 full time nursery workers to plant and grow the seedlings and 30 full time planters from the local village.
